While these springs have had an OK quality rating, the problem we found is that a lot of copies are being sold as OEM Cummins, so you literally have no idea who really made the springs. This prompted SSI to produce our own \"+60\" valve springs in the USA, in order to know what was being made. Our springs start with Chrome Silicone wire, are shot-peened, heat treated, stress relieved, and precision ground on the ends. Ask what spring wire your DCEC springs are made of..........you'll get no reply! We know what ours is made of because we go to the factory and actually watch our springs being made!
